Ammonia gas leak in Jhajjar factory: Many people hospitalized after complaining of breathing

Ammonia gas leaked suddenly from a factory in Haryana’s Jhajjar on Thursday night, after which there was an atmosphere of chaos in the entire area. After the accident, many people started having trouble breathing. He was admitted to the hospital after he complained of vomiting. The entire staff has been evacuated from the factory. The fire brigade present on the spot sprinkled water in the area, to reduce the effect of the gas. The gas leaked from the tank pipe of a factory making catechu. However, the situation is still under control.

Police-administration officials reached the spot. According to the information, during the relief rescue, the health of two firefighters also deteriorated. He too was immediately admitted to the hospital.

Jhajjar deputy commissioner Jag Niwas said, “We got information that ammonia gas is leaking here. Water has been sprinkled in that area as a precaution. An ambulance has also been called. Nearby local people are also being informed. People have also been appealed to wear masks.

After the gas leak, the fire brigade personnel sprinkled water all over the area, to prevent the spread of the effects of the gas.

According to the deputy commissioner, the cylinder wall has been closed to prevent leakage of ammonia gas in the factory. The gas in the pipes is slowly leaking out. No loss of life or property has been reported so far. Many people came out of their homes after the accident.
