Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalow Pratiksha to be partially demolished by BMC: Report

Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s Mumbai home Pratiksha will reportedly be demolished by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. According to reports, the BMC had sent a notice to the star along with seven other property owners, including director Rajkumar Hirani, for road widening in 2107. But, then no action was taken.

Now according to news agency ANI, a part of the plot of Big B’s waiting bungalow will be acquired for the widening of Sant Dnyaneshwar Marg. The BMC has reportedly directed the Mumbai suburban collector city survey officials to demarcate the exact portion of the bungalow required for the project.

Talking about this development, Municipal Councilor Advocate Tulip Brian Miranda told ANI, “The BMC had served a notice to actor Amitabh Bachchan in 2017 about this situation under the road winding policy. The wall of the plot adjoining Bachchan’s bungalow has been taken away and a drain has been made. But Bachchan’s house has been left untouched.”

He further questioned that if the notice was issued then why the land was not taken. He told the agency, “It was from a layman, they would have taken it immediately under section 299 of the Municipal Act, which said you don’t need to wait for the second notice of appeal.”

On the work front, Big B will be seen in Chehre, Brahmastra-1 and Jhund. He has many other films to shoot for like Meade and Alvida. He is also all set to start the thirteenth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati.
