Amitabh Bachchan’s neighbouring house is up for grabs. The house is being auctions for Rs 25 crores.

The house besides Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalow in Mumbai is up for grabs. It has been reported that the Juhu bungalow, situated next to Amitabh’s grand residence, Jalsa, has been put on auction and the price tag on the house is Rs 25 crores. According to Money Control, the house has been put up for auction by Deutsche Bank after the current owners couldn’t pay back the money they loaned from the bank.

As per the report, the lavish house is spread across a 1,164 sqft. It comes with an open space of 2,175 sqft. The house’s auction will take place on March 27. The auction is taking place under the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act (SARFAESI) of 2002.

The report added that a notice to the current owners were sent in April 2022 after non payment of their loan. They had to repay the outstanding amount of Rs 12.89 crore within two months. Since they failed to repay it, the bank has taken over the possession of the property and are now putting it up for auction.

Amitabh’s neighbouring house seems to be a little smaller than the superstar’s house. As per a Vogue India report in 2021, Jalsa, which means ‘celebration’, is spread across 10,125 square feet and is a duplex bungalow. It is situated close to the Juhu beach. The superstar spends most of his time at Jalsa and meets his fans outside the property every Sunday, as part of his Sunday Darshan ritual. Videos and photos from the meet often go viral on social media.

He also has a few other properties in Mumbai. This includes the 8000 square feet property situated behind Jalsa, his third property Prateeksha where Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai got married, his work space named Janak, and Vatsa, which has been leased out to Citibank India.
