Amitabh Bachchan got emotional after India won the T20 World Cup 2024. The actor admitted that he consciously did not watch the match.

Amitabh Bachchan reveals he was in tears after India beat South Africa to win the T20 World Cup finals. The Kalki 2898 AD actor took to X and his blog to reveal he got emotional after India won the T20 WC trophy after 17 years. He added he purposely didn’t watch the match because he believes India loses when he watches the match.

“T 5057 – Tears flowing down .. in unison with those that TEAM INDIA sheds .. WORLD CHAMPIONS INDIA,” Big B shared on X. On his blog, the superstar said, “The excitement and emotions and the apprehension .. ALL DONE and over .. the TV was not seen .. we lose when I do .. ! Nothing more enters the cerebrum .. just the tears in tune with the tears of the TEAM !”

India beat South Africa by seven runs. Following the match, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announced their retirement from the International T20 format. “No better time to say goodbye to this format. I’ve loved every moment of this. I started my India career playing this format. This is what I wanted, I wanted to win the cup,” Rohit said.

“I wanted this badly. Very hard to put in words. It was a very emotional moment for me. I was very desperate for this title in my life. Happy that we eventually crossed the line,” he added.

Virat also announced his retirement. He said, “This was going to be my last T20 World Cup playing for India, it’s time for the next generation to take over.”
