Amit Shah’s Road Show Cancelled In Karnataka, DK Shivakumar Takes Big Jibe

Bengaluru, February 11 (IANS) | Hitting out at the ruling BJP government in Karnataka, state Congress president DK Shivakumar on Saturday said what would happen to the common man if Union Home Minister Amit Shah was facing law and order problems in Mangaluru.

He made the remarks after the Union Home Minister’s roadshow was canceled due to security reasons.

Speaking to reporters, Shivakumar said: “The Union Home Minister was to participate in a roadshow, but it has been cancelled. If Amit Shah is facing a law and order issue, why is there any concern for the common man?” Can you imagine the plight?” This is an insult to the state. BJP should first answer this.

“In the recent past, BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel’s vehicle was attacked by his party workers, after which it overturned. They are using poor people’s sons to carry out such tasks. If the state is failing to ensure security. Union home minister, what more proof is needed. The state government which is not able to ensure law and order should step down immediately,” Shivakumar said.

Shivakumar claimed that the Congress would win 10 assembly seats in Udupi district alone. He said that corporations and boards were being set up for all communities. “We are coming out with a separate tourism policy for the coastal region,” he said.

Shah is visiting Puttur town in Dakshina Kannada district to participate in the golden jubilee celebrations of the Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Co-operative Limited (Campco).

He is about to inaugurate Bharat Mata Temple built by Dharmashree Pratishthan, the only temple of Bharat Mata one after the other in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu.

Shah is scheduled to visit the Hanumagiri temple to offer prayers and pay floral tributes at the statue of the immortal soldier.
