Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to make several visits to West Bengal in June. Citing BJP insiders, a News18 report states that top party leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and JP Nadda will attend a series of meetings in the coming months to prepare for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 . The states are yet to be decided. Sources said that the upcoming panchayat elections in West Bengal will also be on the agenda of these meetings.

When Amit Shah addressed a ‘sabha’ in West Bengal’s Suri last month, he urged party workers to work hard to ensure that the BJP gets at least 35 of the state’s 42 Lok Sabha seats. Meet Since it is not an easy target, Shah has taken it upon himself to closely monitor Bengal, which will be a big boost for the party workers at the grassroots level.

According to sources, the BJP has identified 24 ‘difficult’ seats in the state and these will be one of the agenda items in the meetings of top leaders. The responsibility of these seats has been given to many senior leaders. BJP leader Pratima Bhowmick from Tripura has been given Birbhum Diamond Harbour, Mathurapur and Jaynagar seats.

As part of the complete preparations for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, BJP leaders have also started wall writing. “The party won 18 seats in the state in 2019. We have to capture them and win more in the next election. Keeping a close watch on the situation in West Bengal by Amit Shah will help us in every way.

Meanwhile, TMC leaders said that PM Modi, Amit Shah and JP Nadda visited West Bengal several times in 2021 as well, but to no avail.
