Amit Shah to conduct aerial survey of rain-hit areas in Uttarakhand India News – Times of India

DEHRADUN: Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived here late on Wednesday night to take stock of the situation in the rain-ravaged parts of Uttarakhand.
Incessant rains for three days have left a trail of death and devastation in the state, killing 52 people, damaging roads, bridges and railway tracks and destroying standing crops.
Shah’s arrival at Jolly Grant airport was received by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Union Minister of State for Defense Ajay Bhatt and Uttarakhand BJP President Madan Kaushik on Wednesday midnight.
Shah will conduct an aerial survey of the rain-affected areas on Thursday.
