Amit Shah pays tribute to soldiers martyred in 2019 Pulwama attack after spending night in CRPF camp

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday morning paid tributes to 40 CRPF jawans who were martyred in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack. Shah had on Monday decided to extend his three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir to spend the night with the CRPF jawans at the martyr’s memorial in Pulwama district.

Sources told News18 that Shah arrived in Jammu and Kashmir from Delhi accompanied by entire top officials, including Director of Intelligence Bureau, DG of CRPF and Secretary R.

He said that the Home Minister visited all the areas with great passion and tried to reach out to all sections of the society – young and old Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs. However, he decided to skip all regular cleric meetings.

He was clear in his thoughts and intentions whenever Shah spoke, and his decision to move to various camps and advance places has gone down well with the forces, he said. The sources also said that “most of the feedback received from the officials and the LG was wrong and he understands it too”.

“He wants to use both Vikas and Danda in the Valley. He keeps quiet during celebrations but action will be taken after he comes back.

Shah decided to extend his visit so that he could spend the night with CRPF personnel to pay homage to the 42 jawans at the Lethpora Martyrs Memorial in Pulwama.

Addressing the security personnel at the CRPF premises, Shah said, “I want to spend a night with you guys and understand your problems.”

Shah said the law and order situation in Jammu and Kashmir has improved a lot, adding that he is hopeful that “we will be able to realize a peaceful Jammu and Kashmir as envisaged by Prime Minister Modi in his lifetime”.

On Monday, he offered prayers at the Kheer Bhavani temple in Ganderbal district and said the temple has divine power which can be felt only after seeing it. Officials said the Home Minister visited the temple complex located amidst Chinar in Tullamulla area of ​​central Kashmir district in the early hours of Monday.
