A Texas man lost his life, while his wife was injured due to electrocution at a sea resort in Mexico. The couple, on vacation, got into a hot tub to enjoy some quality time, when the accident took place, leaving many stunned and devastated. A video capturing the frantic scene after the accident emerged online. It showcases the onlookers yelling while trying to pull the couple out of the water.

The shocking accident claimed Jorge’s life while his wife Lizette sustained major injuries. A witness said that the onlookers tried everything in their might to rescue the couple. However, the high intensity of the electrical current prevented them from doing so. Despite this, a woman attempted to get into the hot tub to pull them off but she also received a slight shock.

As reported by The Independent, Jorge was found submerged beneath the water when officers arrived at the resort post the incident took place. The staff of the resort had turned off all of the hot tubs, as claimed by a witness. Reportedly, the state’s attorney general launched an investigation to find out the official cause of death. Besides, the cause of the electrical discharge is also being investigated.
