Former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday launched his new party Punjab Lok Congress office in Sector 9, Chandigarh. After this, showing a strong attitude, Amarinder said that the short time of the election is not a challenge for me. At present I am the number one leader in Punjab.

Amarinder said that in 1980, Akali Dal’s Ajit Singh defeated Sarhadi in 14 days. Akali Dal had declared him a candidate 4 months back, but I won by 1.5 lakh votes. The Captain took a sharp stand on Punjab Congress chief Navjot Sidhu’s advocacy of starting business from Pakistan. He said that first Pakistan should stop shooting our soldiers, then we will talk.

Punjab ready for election battle

Captain Amarinder Singh said that we are ready for battle. The membership drive has started 10 days ago. Soon a group will be formed at the district level. The Captain said that our aim is to win Punjab. We will win, there is no doubt about it. Soon there will be a meeting with BJP’s National President JP Nadda and Punjab Incharge. Then we will do seat adjustment in collaboration with SAD (United).

Amarinder said that nowadays Channi government is giving full page advertisements in newspapers. I laugh seeing them. It takes 4 months to a year from planning to implementation of any announcement. Clearance has to be taken from many agencies including the central government. All this is doing drama. The Captain said that the Channi government has ruined the fleet of Punjab. Corruption has increased in the government. Illegal sand mining is happening in the light of CM.

Will fight elections by this formula

Amarinder said that there will be seat adjustment with his BJP and SAD joint. It doesn’t matter who will get how many seats. Rather, where the candidate has the ability to win, he will get a ticket. Then the other two parties will try their best to make him win. If the government is formed, all the MLAs who will be formed, they will sit among themselves and choose the CM face.

Senior Congressmen will come after getting the code

Amarinder said that many senior Congressmen would accompany him. For this, the election code of conduct is awaited. Otherwise, just like the Congress did with the mayor in Patiala, they will trouble you in the same way. He said that if Sidhu is talking about cutting the tickets of 35 leaders, then it is not that he will take everyone in his party. It will be selected according to the policy of the party.

Three months government, why not open STF report

The Captain said that why this government does not open the STF report related to drugs, it has been three months for them. He said that his government had taken action in 3 cases related to sacrilege and firing. A new SIT has been formed only in the Kotkapura case. On the issue of taking the name of former minister Majithia in the drugs case, the Captain said that the Congress wants to create an issue by arresting Majithia. He kept following me also to bring Badal and Majithia inside. Without evidence and outside the law, such action is not taken.

Aam Aadmi Party also attacked

Amarinder did not even spare the Aam Aadmi Party. He said that if he is so powerful in Punjab then why 11 out of 20 MLAs ran away. They don’t have any ground reality in Punjab. He also termed Arvind Kejriwal’s guarantees as hollow.
