Amarinder refuses to return to Congress: Captain said – not meeting Sonia-Rahul; Focus on his party, Minister Verka had claimed

Captain Amarinder Singh has ruled out a return to the Congress. He said that he is not meeting Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi. The statement came after Rajkumar Verka, a minister in the Punjab government, claimed that the Captain was returning to the Congress. Verka had been close to Captain Amarinder as CM.

Captain Amarinder Singh said that he termed it as someone’s prank. He said that he has no intention of looking back now. Verka had said in Amritsar that Amarinder was not going anywhere. Talks are going on with them. He will soon agree and return to Congress and guide the party.

While Amarinder’s CM, Rajkumar Verka was among his close friends.

Waiting for party approval and symbol

Captain Amarinder Singh said that he is working on his party Punjab Lok Congress. Its organizational set up will be completed soon. He said that they are waiting for the party’s registration and election symbol from the Election Commission of India (ECI). After this, he will be openly active in the political field.

Sidhu had praised the captain for his stand on SYL and loan waiver of farmers.

Captain Amarinder Singh was removed from the CM’s chair by the Congress a few months before the elections. Calling it an insult, he left the Congress. Then he announced to contest all the 117 assembly seats in Punjab. He has talked about seat sharing with the BJP.

After this, Punjab Congress President Navjot Sidhu has also praised him in the special session of the Punjab Legislative Assembly. Whereas Sidhu played the most important role in removing the captain. Even Sidhu did not shy away from making personal attacks against Amarinder.
