Sai Pallavi opened up about how she dealt with her first flop film. She mentioned how it impacted her and how she was grateful that her fans were ‘forgiving.’
With almost a decade since her debut, Sai Pallavi has emerged as one of the most sought-after talents in the South Indian film industry. The actor is currently basking in the success of Amaran where she shared the screen with Sivakarthikeyan. In a recent interview, the actor spoke about her first flop movie and how she dealt with the setback.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Sai Pallavi opened up about her first flop movie. She mentioned that it affected her because she did not want to give a bad movie to her fans. However, she added that her fans were ‘forgiving’ and continued to shower love on her despite her setback. The actor said, “You wouldn’t want to disappoint the audience, and sometimes you feel that, oh, will this love go away if I do something wrong? So, it’s that kind of a fear that you have, but the audience is very forgiving.”
Pallavi mentioned how the audience loves the actors for the work that they do and does not hold their bad films against them. She continued, “Every time you come with something good and believe that it is good, they actually receive it that way. They wipe the slate clean and then they love your work for what it is. So, that gives a lot of confidence, not that you’ve got to do a bad film and then they’ll still accept you, but at least you feel that we shouldn’t be very hard on ourselves and maybe be a little more clear when choosing the next one. So that’s how I looked at it; that’s how it is.”
The actor played the role of Indhu Rebecca Varghese in Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran. The movie was inspired by the life of the late Major Mukund Varadarajan. She will be next seen with Naga Chaitanya in Thandel. She is also set to make her Bollywood debut alongside Ranbir Kapoor in Nitesh Tiwari’s big-budget film, Ramayan, in 2026.
