Alwar case: No evidence of gangrape found so far, police is investigating further

New Delhi: In another update on the Alwar case, in which the Rajasthan government is facing criticism from the opposition, the police have so far found no evidence of an incident of sexual harassment. According to DIG Civil Rights Dr. Ravi, the police is investigating the matter from different angles. “However, the likelihood of sexual assault is low.”

Dr. Ravi told news agency ANI that “we had checked several CCTVs at various places from her house to the starting point of the flyover in which the girl is looking fine.”

He further added that “There is a possibility that the incident may have happened on the flyover where he spent 5-7 minutes. We are probing the matter from different angles. At the moment I cannot come to any conclusion. However, sexual The chances of an attack are slim.”

The incident happened on Tuesday, January 11, when a 16-year-old handicapped girl was found lying in a pool of blood on a bridge near Tijara Gate. He was first admitted to the district hospital and later shifted to JK Lone hospital.

While there was speculation about gang rape, the police are yet to find any evidence. According to the report of ANI, there is no injury in the private part of the victim in the medical report.

Based on the technical evidence and video received by the police, the rape victim is seen healthy at the Tijara flyover (the site of the incident). Alwar Superintendent of Police Tejaswani Gautam told ANI that the doctors said that there was no injury to her private parts in her medical examination.

Meanwhile, as the issue has created outrage in the state, the Rajasthan Human Rights Commission has directed the Alwar district administration and the Superintendent of Police to submit a report by January 18.

The police have already questioned the auto-rickshaw driver and the auto in which the victim had come alone from her village. Further investigation is on and the police will soon interrogate fellow passengers in the auto.
