The craze for the first part of Allu Arjun’s film hasn’t waned yet, and looks like work on the second part is already underway. The second part of the Sukumar directorial, which saw immense box office success across India, is in the works. Reports say that Allu Arjun and the team are all set to start shooting for the first schedule of Pushpa 2 in July.
“While the work on Pushpa 2 has already started in terms of location scouting and script, Allu Arjun is all set to start work in late June or July. Before she jumps to start shooting for Sukumar’s Pushpa 2, AA will take a short trip with her family,” Pinkvilla quoted a source close to the development as saying.
“Sukumar has started reading scripts and is focusing more on dialogues which are going to be a trendsetter like part one. It is not an easy task as Sukumar always craves for perfection and he is always on the lookout for details. The makers have planned to shoot some important sequences in the first schedule. The team is gearing up, while Sukumar has started reading the script.” Srikant Visa, who wrote the dialogues for blockbuster Pushpa, is also working on the second part.
Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise Part 1 was written and directed by Sukumar. The film was bankrolled by Maithri Movie Makers in association with Muttamsetty Media. The film also starred Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. Jagdish Pratap Bandari, Sunil, Rao Ramesh, Dhananjay, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Ajay and Ajoy Ghosh were also part of the project. The film narrates the rise of a porter in the red sandalwood smuggling syndicate, a rare wood that grows exclusively in the Seshachalam hills of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
The action thriller managed to take the box office by storm with record breaking collections not only in the southern regions but also in the Hindi belt. After its phenomenal theatrical performance, it earned even more on the streaming platform.
