Allow full immunization without certificate of entry: Goa to High Court Goa News – Times of India

Under Secretary Health Gautami Parmekar submitted in the High Court that in view of the decreasing number of active covid The steady decline in the number of cases, the state’s positivity rate, and the improvement in the pandemic situation across the country, “is to restore normalcy in the state of Goa”.
In its application, the government said that Goa had 1,957 active cases as on July 6, the positivity rate was less than 5% and the recovery rate was 97%, which is contrary to the position passed by the High Court on May 6.
The government also said that there has been a sharp decline in the positivity rate across the country and it was 2.34% on June 30 and was less than 5% for 23 consecutive days. The weekly positivity rate across the country as on June 30 was 2.69% and the recovery rate was 96.92%.
Noting that the expert committee in its fourth meeting on July 2 recommended allowing travelers coming from other states and union territories to possess authentic vaccination certificate with two doses before entry without a COVID test report, the government presented the details of other states which are allowing this.
The state government on May 6 directed the administration to ensure that no person is allowed to enter the state unless they have a negativity certificate obtained within 72 hours of entering the state.
