Nehra termed Pant an ‘asset’ in all formats

“You know what a guy like Pant can do in the first six overs, and with the field restriction, in future, with more experience, Rishabh Pant is an all-rounder, he is a huge asset to the Indian team in any format , ” They said.

Nehra backed Pant, saying that the batsman would become more consistent over time as his playing style makes it very difficult to score big runs regularly.

“It is very difficult to keep performing. Rishabh Pant, what kind of player is he? When it comes to that, we want him to score runs and score runs at that strike rate in every format. And so much consistency will come only with time because the kind of player he is, the way he plays, you know, it is very difficult to achieve consistency,” Nehra said.
