Javed Akhtar told a gathering in Lahore that even though Pakistani artistes like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Mehdi Hasan have been warmly welcomed in India, Pakistan has not organized a single show of Lata Mangeshkar.

Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader Sanjay Raut on Thursday said that all political leaders should congratulate noted lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar for criticizing Pakistan on its own soil for its role in promoting terrorist activities in India. .

Talking to reporters here, Raut said that what Akhtar has done, it takes a lot of courage.

The conspirators of 26/11 Mumbai attacks are still roaming freely in Pakistan and Pakistanis should not be upset that when India Talking about the 2008 genocide, Akhtar said in Lahore recently.

Raut said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat need to congratulate Akhtar for his bold step.”
