He urged all the officers to work relentlessly towards enabling AIIMS to compete with the best in the world, an official statement said.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Sunday stressed on providing better quality of clinical care, highest standards of medical education and cutting-edge research at all AIIMS to turn them into institutions of global excellence.

Addressing the sixth meeting of the Central Institute Body (CIB) of all new AIIMS in Bhubaneswar, he asked the representatives of all AIIMS to learn from other institutes of national importance like IITs and IIMs. The CIB is the highest decision-making body of all AIIMS for matters relating to finance, infrastructure, vacancy, recruitment, enforcement of policies, challenges and procurement. The agenda of Sunday’s meeting was to review the compliance of the decisions taken in the previous CIB meetings.

Mandaviya said, “This CIB is not only to review the compliance of earlier decisions, but also a ‘Chintan Shivir’ to collect insights, new ideas, innovative ideas and suggestions based on the rich experience and expertise of all the participants. is also.” All AIIMS are premier national institutes of tertiary care with a vision to make them institutes of global excellence. The Union Minister said that this can only happen with better quality, clinical care, highest standards of medical education and cutting edge research.

Highlighting the need to create metadata for artificial intelligence and a professional work culture that can deliver better results, Mandaviya exhorts all directors of AIIMS to create innovative models of working and present them in the next CIB meeting .

He urged all the officers to work relentlessly towards enabling AIIMS to compete with the best in the world, an official statement said.

“We collectively have to set a new benchmark in India’s healthcare system,” the minister said.

Issues discussed in the meeting included compliance of the recommendations of the former Chintan Shivir and functioning of all new AIIMS, overview of new AIIMS under PMSSY, a sustainable financial model, enhancing patient satisfaction and ICT as an enabler, management and governance paradigm included the use of and management of human resources.
