Jigra is an action-packed prison-break thriller that centres on the relationship between siblings. Alia Bhatt takes on the role of Satya, while Vedang Raina plays her brother, Ankur.
Vedang Raina, who made his acting debut with The Archies in 2023, is now gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated project Jigra. This film marks his first collaboration with Alia Bhatt. The recently released teaser trailer for Jigra features a rendition of the classic song Phoolon Ka Taaro Ka, with Vedang performing as the singer. Reflecting on this milestone, Vedang shared a heartfelt message with his younger self. On September 8, 2024, just after the teaser launch, the audio track of Phoolon Ka Taaro Ka was officially released.
Vedang posted the audio link on his Instagram Stories, accompanied by a heartfelt note. He wrote, “Message to 15 year old Vedang sitting at home with his guitar, singing to a camera – dreams come true.”
Producer Karan Johar also expressed his admiration for Vedang’s performance, sharing the song and adding, “Sung by the supremely talented Vedang Raina!!!”
Alia Bhatt joined in the appreciation, praising Vedang’s talent and vocal skills. After Vedang commented on Alia’s teaser trailer post with “Superstar behna,” she responded, “Vedang Raina arre arre too much!!! What about your superstar voice!!! So beautifully you’ve sung this song on repeat.”
The classic song Phoolon Ka Taaro Ka was chosen to heighten the emotional resonance of the teaser. Originally composed by RD Burman and sung by Kishore Kumar, the lyrics were penned by RD Burman and Anand Bakshi. For Jigra, the song’s music has been reimagined by Achint, with Vedang lending his voice and additional lyrics written by Varun Grover.

The teaser begins with Alia Bhatt emotionally recounting her tragic family history and quickly shifts to intense action scenes, where she is seen fighting to protect her brother, played by Vedang Raina, who is in handcuffs. Despite their dire situation, the sibling bond is highlighted. Manoj Pahwa advises Alia to escape, but she confidently declares she will fight back.
The teaser ends with Alia hugging Vedang as a reprised version of Phoolon Ka Taaro Ka plays in the background, leaving viewers wondering what happens to Vedang and how far his on-screen sister Alia will go to save him.
