Alia Bhatt Turns Writer with Launch of Children’s Book

Alia Bhatt has embarked on an exciting new chapter as a storyteller, launching her debut children’s picture book and expressing her commitment to crafting a series for young readers. This past Sunday, she unveiled “Ed Finds A Home,” the first installment in her children’s book series under the Ed-a-Mamma brand, radiating joy as she shared the moment on Instagram.

“A new journey begins,” Alia captioned her Instagram post, signaling the start of an engaging series within the Ed-a-Mamma universe. She credited fellow storytellers Vivek Kamath, @shabnamminwalla, and @tanvibhat.draws for their creativity in bringing the book to life.

Earlier in the day, Alia commemorated her grandfather’s birthday by sharing never-before-seen childhood photos, honoring him as her “favorite storyteller” whose tales continue to resonate deeply.

“Ed Finds A Home” aims to instill a love for nature in young readers, marking Ed-a-Mamma’s debut in publishing in collaboration with Puffin, Penguin Random House India’s imprint. Alia launched the book at the StoryVerse children’s literature festival in Mumbai’s Jio World Drive, where she captivated audiences with her passion for storytelling.

In 2020, Alia ventured into entrepreneurship with Ed-a-Mamma, a company offering children’s, teens’, and maternity wear. Last year, Reliance Brands acquired Ed-a-Mamma, underscoring its strategic move into the retail sector with a reported acquisition valued between ₹300-350 crore.

Alia Bhatt’s foray into children’s literature and entrepreneurship reflects her multifaceted talent and dedication to inspiring young minds through storytelling and fashion.
