Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh will soon be seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
After Gully Boy and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh are reuniting for the third time for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra.
After wrapping work on Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to collaborate for the third time in his next film Baiju Bawra. The buzz is that the film is all set to go on floors in mid-2023.
A source close to Pinkvilla shared, “Since the subject is very close to Mr. Bhansali, he has been working on it for a long time, and has already prepared a strong script for the film. However, the preparations have also started from the shooting point of view as he plans to take Baiju Bawra on floors by the middle of this year. June or July is what they are looking at.”
The source added, “The requests for dates from his actors have already gone to him. A major portion of the film will be shot on sets in Mumbai, and production will begin once the final dates are finalised.
Ranveer and Alia have previously worked with SLB for their individual projects. While Alia starred in Sanjay’s last directorial Gangubai Kathiawadi, Ranveer was a part of Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. Sanjay is currently gearing up for the release of his next project titled ‘Hiramandi’. The show will also mark Sanjay’s web series debut as a director.
Heeramandi revolves around a group of courtesans during the pre and post independence era of the country. When asked how the idea originated, SLB had earlier shared in an event, “These great courtesans, they lived like queens. At his behest were Nawabs, politicians and British officials. Court artists, singers, dancers, were connoisseurs of fine poetry and art. So they were women I would love to meet in real life.”
He continued, “After the independence and partition of the country, the Nawabs and Amirs left. I began to wonder what effect it must have had on the courtiers.” The leading ladies for the series Hiramandi include Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Manisha Koirala, Sharmin Sehgal and Sanjeeda Sheikh.
