Alia Bhatt in a new interview talks about embracing motherhood and the changes it has brought in her life. Alia welcomed her first child, a daughter, with Ranbir Kapoor on 6 November. He later revealed that he has named his daughter Raha. In an interview with Variety, Alia revealed that motherhood has changed her outlook towards life.
“Motherhood has changed me a lot in this period — I mean, it’s been barely a month as I’ve given this interview, just over three weeks, but I don’t know how that’s going to affect the way I choose to.” My roles are going to change because I haven’t been ready to think about that yet. But it has changed the way I look at everything,” she told the international publication.
While Alia feels her “heart is a little more open than before,” she doesn’t know how it will affect her career. I’m excited to see how this journey pans out,” she said.
Alia has had a memorable year. While she married her longtime boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor over the summer and welcomed their daughter in November, she was also among the busiest actresses of this year. Four big films of Alia were released this year. She started the year on a high note with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, which impressed the audience. India and internationally, which was followed by a small but significant role in SS Rajamouli’s RRR alongside Jr. NTR and Ram Charan.
She was then seen in her home production film Darlings, which also won her accolades. After this Alia was seen in Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor. The film emerged as one of the biggest films at the box office. This year, Alia also shot for her Hollywood debut Heart of Gold opposite Gal Gadot. The film is about to release on Netflix.
