Alia Bhatt recently reacted to Team India’s T20 World Cup win. The actress will soon be seen in Jigra.
Alia Bhatt is over the moon, and just like every cricket fan across the nation, she has ‘tears of joy’. Team India, has finally lifted the T20World Cup Trophy after 17 years. There’s celebration and excitement in the air. Having said that, the actress took to her Instagram handle shared a bundle of photos from the match day and wrote, “hum jeeeeeeeet gayeeeeeeeee Tears of joy tears of everything!!!! Congratulations team INDIA!!!!!!! What a win!!!!! .”

India surprised everyone by winning their second ICC T20 World Cup title with a seven-run victory over South Africa at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday. After securing victory in the T20 World Cup, the emotions ran high among Team India members. Rohit Sharma was overwhelmed and fell to the ground, while Rahul Dravid leapt from his chair in excitement.
Coming back to Alia, the actress will soon be seen in Jigra with Vedang Raina. Last year, Alia Bhatt talked about Jigra and opened up about its plot. She had revealed that the film is a story of ‘courage, passion and determination’. “Just a little over a year later, we are ready to launch our second production – Jigra, a beautiful story of courage, passion and determination. I hope to consistently support compelling narratives that are authentic, and enduringly timeless and work with brilliant creative minds to bring them alive,” Alia added.
It was also recently revealed that the actress had to learn basketball for the film. As reported by E-Times, Alia Bhatt has several scenes in Jigra in which she will be seen playing basketball and therefore, to make it look authentic, director Vasan Bala assigned a coach to her. The film is all set to release on October 11, 2024.
