Akshay Kumar recently attended the 2nd Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this program, actor and moderator Kaleem Aftab talks about all his planned projects and his career over the years. Akshay, who is known for multiple releases every year, has created a record this year with four theatrical releases and one OTT release.
During the conversation, Akshay revealed that his upcoming film which is slated to release in April or May of 2023 is based on sex education and the news has grabbed everyone’s attention. She said, “It’s a very important subject. In a lot of places,[sex education]isn’t there. We have all kinds of subjects that we learn in school and sex education is one subject that I would like to see in the world.” be in all schools. However, the statement left everyone curious as to which film he was referring to as Akshay chose to withhold the title of the film and left the audience guessing. According to the news portal, sources told the publication that Akshay was referring to the film “OMG: Oh My God 2”. The film is an engrossing courtroom drama, in which a citizen demands compulsory sex education in schools.
“A film called OMG OH MY GOD will surely have a divine connection. Writers and director Amit Rai have cleverly incorporated the God element and an unusual court case revolving around sex education. The makers are confident that it will pull in the audience and ignite a buzz,” said the source.
The film is a sequel to the 2012 release OMG: Oh My God! which starred Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar. It was a successful satire film which was appreciated by both the audience and the critics. As per the source, the makers of “OMG 2” are seeking a May 2023 release mainly because April will be a busy month for film releases.
Apart from OMG 2, Akshay’s upcoming projects include Selfie, Soorarai Pottru, Gorkha, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and the Hindi remake of Capsule Gill.
