Akshay Kumar’s mother’s condition is critical and has been admitted to a hospital in Mumbai.
Akshay Kumar has returned from his shooting in the UK to take care of his ailing mother Aruna Bhatia, who is currently in the ICU.

Akshay KumarThe mother of Aruna Bhatia has been unwell for a few days and is reportedly in the ICU of Hiranandani Hospital in Mumbai. The actor was shooting for his film Cinderella in the UK for the past few weeks. He has gone back to take care of his ailing mother, HT quoted a source as saying. “Akshay is very attached to his mother and he could not stay away from her as her health deteriorated, so he took a sudden decision and decided to go back to India,” the source added.
While Akshay is back in India to be with his mother, he has asked the makers to continue shooting for scenes that do not require his presence. “All his other work commitments also continue. He has always believed that work should continue despite personal challenges.”
The actor has half a dozen films lined up for next year. The superstar has nine confirmed projects in various stages of production – eight films and a web series. These are Bell Bottom, Sooryavanshi, Atrangi Re, Prithviraj, Bachchan Pandey, Rakshabandhan, Ram Setum, OMG-Oh My God 2 and the web series The End.

There is buzz in the trade circles that Akshay has already given green signal to at least a few more films and formal announcements will be made soon. And one of them is the remake of the hit Tamil psychological thriller Ratansan (2018). The remake is tentatively titled Mission Cinderella. Bell Bottom director Ranjit Tiwari will direct the film, which also stars Rakul Preet Singh.
