While fans were waiting with bated breath for the selfie, Akshay Kumar shared the teaser of the first song from his upcoming film, which got everyone excited.
2022 was a rocky year for Akshay Kumar. From Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan to Ram Setu, all his films did not live up to the expectations of the people. But with a new year and a new enthusiasm, the Katputli actor is looking forward to a wonderful 2023 with another set of great films in 2023. Selfie is first in line. While the actor recently shared with fans the interesting trailer, he is all set to launch the first song of the film and that too the remake version of an iconic song.
On Sunday, Khiladi Kumar took to his Instagram handle and shared a glimpse of the first song ‘Main Khiladi’ from Selfie. The song is a recreation of the 90s chartbuster number Main Khiladi Tu Anari Ka from the film of the same name, featured in Akshay Kumar And Emraan Hashmi dancing together in glamorous clothes. While the original song featured the pairing of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, for the remake, Emraan Hashmi has stepped into the dancing shoes of Saif Ali Khan. The caption of the teaser reads, “Muh se seeti aur haath se taali bajane ko ho tayyar? Watch the teaser of #MainKhiladi here. The song stopped on 1st February!! #Selfie in cinemas from 24th February.”
Excited fans soon took over the comments section to express their excitement. One of them wrote, “Wah Sir Wah! What energy sir! You are fire sir!” Another commented, “Nothing can stop this song from being a blockbuster!” Another said, “Biggest chartbuster song of the year!” A fan said, “Akshay sir khiladi back aa Gone!” A fan commented, “Energy levels fire! Selfie is directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Sukumaran’s Prithviraj Productions, Johar’s Dharma Productions, Kumar’s Cape of Good Films and Magic Frames. As per reports, Akshay will play the role of a superstar in this suspense thriller. On the other hand, Emraan Hashmi will play a police officer who is a fan of the celebrity. The film is slated to release on February 24, 2023. The selfie features Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty and Nushrat Bharucha.
