New Delhi: Samajwadi Party supreme Akhilesh Yadav took a dig at the verdict on Wednesday BJP On inviting all his party MPs from Uttar Pradesh to the national capital for discussion. He said that the people of the state will remove the BJP from power, no matter how many meetings they hold.
In a tweet in Hindi, Yadav said, “BJP is calling its MPs from Uttar Pradesh to Delhi today to inquire about the plight of the state. This shows the distance between Delhi and Lucknow.”
The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister further said, “No matter how many meetings the BJP holds, now people will remove them. Assessment later and (false) praise first, it’s BJP!”
The top BJP leadership has called all its MPs from Uttar Pradesh to Delhi for a two-day meeting.
many senior leaders including BJP National President JP Nadda and the party’s Uttar Pradesh unit president Swatantra Dev Singh Party sources said that he would attend these meetings on Wednesday and Thursday.
This meeting is important because it comes a few months before the state under the leadership of the Chief Minister. Yogi Adityanath, leads to important elections early next year. The BJP is working hard to maintain the state, which has 80 Lok Sabha MPs and 403 assembly seats.
BJP’s share in Rajya Sabha will also increase with a landslide victory in the assembly elections. BJP is in minority in Rajya Sabha. Crossing the majority mark will help it pass important legislation.
