Akhilesh Yadav Calls Atiq Ahmed’s Son Asad’s Encounter ‘Fake’, Slams Yogi Govt

New Delhi: Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday termed the encounter killing of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed’s son Asad as “fake” and said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government was trying to divert attention from real issues. The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister also said on his official Twitter account that the BJP has “no faith” in the court and demanded that today’s and recent encounters should be thoroughly probed.

In a tweet in Hindi, Akhilesh Yadav said, “The BJP government is trying to divert attention from the real issues by creating fake encounters. BJP has no faith in the court. Today’s and recent encounters should also be thoroughly investigated.” And the guilty should not be spared. Power does not have the right to decide what is right or wrong.
