Ajith Kumar’s AK61 to start shooting after Holi: Reports

It should come as no surprise that Tamil actor Ajith Kumar, producer Boney Kapoor and filmmaker H Vinoth are working on their third film, tentatively titled AK 61. However, according to a new update, the shooting of the film will begin on March 19 in Hyderabad. And, the Muhurta Puja took place on 9th March. Last month, the AK 61 was officially unveiled.

According to reports, the puja took place in Chennai. If reports are to be believed, the shooting of AK 61 will begin in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. The film, which is rumored to be a bank robbery, may release this Diwali. If it turns out, this will be Ajith’s second release in 2022 after Valimai.

Boney Kapoor revealed Ajith’s presence while announcing AK 61 last month. The actor was in a white beard and hairy look. A pair of glasses rounded out the appearance.

It is also popularly believed that Ajith will play a gray character in the upcoming venture. Ajith, who grew a long beard to play the villain, has reportedly shed up to 25 kilos for the role.

According to rumours, Tabu will also be seen in the film reuniting the star after 22 years. Kandukondain Kandukondain (2000), in which he co-starred with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Mammootty, was their last film together.

Meanwhile, Ajith, Boney Kapoor and Vinoth’s recent venture, Valimai is doing well. The film, which released on February 24, has already crossed the multi-crore mark. 200 crore mark. Huma Qureshi was also seen in the film. And, Kartikeya Gummakonda played the main antagonist. Its soundtrack was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
