Drishyam 2 is receiving tremendous response from the audience. Even two weeks after its release, the film is ruling the box office and refuses to slow down. On its second Sunday (November 27), the Ajay Devgn starrer registered another tremendous jump and earned Rs 17.32 crore. With this the total collection of the film now stands at Rs 143.90 crore.

Drishyam 2 is also giving tough competition to Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer Bhediya. While the Ajay Devgn starrer earned Rs 39.24 crore in its second weekend, Bhediya earned Rs 28.55 crore in the same weekend.
Starring Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and Tabu in lead roles, Drishyam 2 is a remake of Mohanlal’s Malayalam film of the same name. Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film is set seven years after Vijay Salgaokar (played by Ajay Devgn) is given a clean chit in a case revolving around a missing young boy. The film revisits the events of 2 October 2014 – as seen in the first Drishyam film – but with a different perspective. This time, Vijay is interrogated not only by Meera Deshmukh (Tabu) but also by IG Tarun Ahlawat (played by Akshaye Khanna).
Meanwhile, recently in a report of E-Times it was claimed that Drishyam 3 will also be made. The entertainment portal reported that Drishyam 3 will release in both Malayalam and Hindi on the same day. Reportedly, the decision to release both the versions on the same day has been taken to ensure that the suspense does not leak. “The idea of a third part was there originally as well, the spectacular collection has only strengthened it. Apparently, this franchise is all set to live. However, there is no official confirmation of the same as of now,” claimed a source.
