As the Pongal season approaches, Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya shared a photo from her festive celebrations.
She uploaded a few pictures in which she is seen flaunting her festive look. Aishwarya wore a stunning silk saree with golden accents. She accessorised her look with exquisite jewelery and minimal makeup.
She captioned the photo, “Feeling full pre #pongal mood and our South vibes in saree mode.”
Aishwarya’s pre-Pongal look got a lot of likes and comments from her fans and followers.

The southern Indian states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, in particular, celebrate Pongal, a traditional harvest festival. It honors Lord Surya Narayana, the ruler of the planets, and is related to the harvesting of agricultural produce. In North India, this festival is known as Makar Sankranti. This event, known as “Pongal” in Tamil, meaning “to boil”, is celebrated as a way of giving thanks for the previous year’s harvest.
The festival will run from January 15 to January 18 and will last for four days. The dish known as “pongal” is prepared on the day of Pongal by baking it outside in the sun, preferably in the day just after sunrise. For this dish, the best rice is chosen from the most recent harvest. Pongal is made with rice, milk, ghee, jaggery, raisins, and nuts as its main ingredients. The meaning of the word Pongal is complex, including the concept and name of the festival, the food served, and the meaning of prosperity.
