A few weeks ago there were reports that Bollywood Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all set to start shooting for Mani Ratnam’s dream project, Ponniyin Selvan: Part One. The film is an adaptation of Kalki Krishnamurthy’s 1955 historical novel of the same name. The film stars South’s superstar R Sarathkumar with Aishwarya. On Sunday night, the actress along with her husband Abhishek Bachchan and their daughter Aaradhya Bachchan met Sarathkumar and his daughters, Varalakshmi and Pooja, in Puducherry. Aishwarya is in the city to shoot for the film.
A bunch of pictures from their get-together were shared by Varalakshmi. Aishwarya looked very beautiful in a black off shoulder dress with a peak. Abhishek looked handsome as ever in a white sweatshirt. Sharing the post, the South actress termed it a “fangirl” moment for herself. She wrote that even though the pair come from a great “lineage”, she was impressed by the “humility and warmth” of the Bachchan family.
Since then the pictures are trending on social media. She was re-shared by paparazzi Viral Bhayani on his Instagram page and many netizens started speculating about Aishwarya’s second pregnancy. Some of them were already celebrating in the comments section. However, no official confirmation has been made from the actress or any family member yet.
Talking about Ponniyin Selvan, this film will be made in Tamil. It is being written, directed and produced by Mani Ratnam. Apart from Aishwarya and R Sarathkumar, the epic historical drama will star Vikram, Karthi, Trisha, Jayaram, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu and Sobhita Dhulipala.
