Generally, there are two types of travelers – those who get to the airport early with hours to kill and those who rush to the gate with seconds to spare. While it is advised to always reach the airport three to four hours in advance so that you have enough time and do not have to worry about missing your flight. But, the long monotonous wait is almost always accompanied by looking at fellow passengers’ faces, listening to boring announcements, or scrolling through your phone. What if you got access to luxurious airport lounges? Will that entice you enough to arrive early?

Some airports do not have great facilities except a few fast food joints and coffee shops. But, many other major airports believe in making the travel of their patrons hassle free and more enjoyable and comfortable. Hence, airport lounges are one of the most delightful places to relax and unwind before your flight takes off or during a long journey. This allows you to work while traveling in complete style while you wait to board your flight away from the noise.

Airport lounges offer delicious food, which can be a buffet or snacks and drinks, a comfortable seating area, free Wi-Fi, showers, sleeping pods and spa facilities, among other amenities. While not all lounges will have the same amenities, they are definitely worth getting to the airport early.

If you are a credit card or debit card holder, ensure that the card issuer provides lounge access to you. If so, make sure your plastic card is acceptable. If you are a frequent traveler or are traveling in first class or business class, check your ticket to see if you are eligible for free access.
