Sources said there has been no further discussion on the ransom demand of Rs 200 crore and the hospital authorities have started working on back-up data.
cyber attack on all server India Sources in intelligence agencies told News18 that the institute of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) was extorted by the hackers to demand ransom for decrypting the encrypted important data.
Sources said that there has been no further discussion on the alleged ransom demand of Rs 200 crore and the hospital authorities have started working from back-up data.
Meanwhile, NIC e-hospital database and application server for e-hospital have been restored. The report added that the NIC team is scanning and cleaning the infection from other e-hospital servers located at AIIMS, which are essential for delivery of hospital services.
Four physical servers arranged for restoration of e-hospital services have been scanned and made ready for database and application.
Along with this, the work of network sanitization of AIIMS is going on. Antivirus solutions are organized for servers and computers. It is installed on about 1,200 out of 5,000 computers. The source said that 20 out of 50 servers have been scanned and this activity is going on 24×7.
“The complete sanitisation of the network is likely to continue for five more days. After this, e-hospital services can be started in a phased manner. Patient care services, which include emergency, outpatient, inpatient, laboratory etc services, are being continued on manual mode,” said the source.
