Zarina Wahab says she feels helpless as a mother when she sees her son Sooraj Pancholi in pain.

Hours after it was revealed that a Mumbai court would pronounce its verdict in the Jiah Khan suicide case tomorrow, Sooraj Pancholi’s mother Zarina Wahab is now hoping for justice. In a recent interview, Zarina mentioned that she ‘waited for ten years for the verdict’ and added that the case has made her son’s life ‘hell’.

“From this point on, we have faith that the almighty will do justice to our son,” he told E-Times. Zarina also shared that she feels helpless as a mother when she sees her son in pain. Hope justice will be served on Friday.

“When my son looks at me I can feel his pain. I can’t look into his eyes. We don’t say much to each other. I can feel what he’s going through. And I feel helpless. I can’t say anything to him. I know my son is innocent. It has taken ten years. But I have full faith in the almighty. I think it has been a phase, a painful phase But there is fear in the house of God, not darkness. I have full faith that my son will get justice because he is innocent.

Zarina shared that the verdict would be pronounced on Friday at 10:30 am and revealed that she would be present in the court along with her son. “Please pray for Suraj. He is a strong boy. He has full faith in the judiciary. He knows that justice will be done. Insha Allah,” she said.

In June 2013, Jiah Khan was found hanged at her home by her mother, Rabia Khan. Khan also reportedly wrote a 6-page letter describing her relationship with Sooraj Pancholi. After Jiah’s death, her mother accused Sooraj and his family of ‘misbehaving’ with Jiah. After this, a case of abetment to suicide was registered against him. Suraj was also arrested but was later released on bail.
