New Delhi: Ahead of the 26th Annual Climate Change Conference (COP26) of the United Nations, business tycoon Bill Gates has made his book “How to Avoid a Climate Disaster” available to students around the world.
“This week, any college or university student anywhere in the world can download my book How to Avoid a Climate Disaster for free,” the Microsoft founder tweeted on October 25.
In his blog, Gates explained the purpose of writing the book, saying that young people are passionately working on climate change and calling on governments to reduce carbon emissions.

“Earlier this year, I published a book called How to Avoid a Climate Disaster. One of the main reasons I wrote this is because young people are showing so much passion for tackling climate change,” Gates wrote.
The book is “about all the steps needed to keep the planet habitable for humans. We need to revolutionize our entire physical economy, in which we move things around the planet,” Gates added with a download link. They work, produce electricity, make things, grow food, and heat and cool their buildings.
