After UP Police Arrests 2 Al Qaeda Terrorists, Bihar Police Issues Alert In All Districts, Railway Stations

Bihar State Police Headquarters on Sunday issued an alert in all districts and railway stations after two terrorists linked to Al Qaeda were arrested in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Bihar State Police Headquarters has issued an alert in all districts and railway stations following the arrest of two al-Qaeda terrorists in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, the Special Branch and CID of Bihar Police said.

“All sensitive and border officials of the state have been asked to remain alert,” the statement said.

Earlier on Sunday, the Anti-Terrorism Squad of Uttar Pradesh busted an Al-Qaeda terror module in Lucknow and arrested two terrorists.

Police said those arrested, identified as Minhaj Ahmed (30) and Maseeruddin (50), were planning to carry out blasts in Lucknow and adjoining areas before August 15.

Uttar Pradesh ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar said, “ATS Uttar Pradesh unearthed a terror module and arrested two terrorists from the Indian subcontinent module of Al-Qaeda. One has been arrested from Kakori police station, while The other has been apprehended from Mariahu Police Station SDR.”
