Official sources said on Sunday that Kashi Vishwanath Dham, the renovated temple complex which was recently inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, witnessed a crowd of over five lakh devotees on the first day of the new year. official sources said on Sunday. He said that even on Mahashivratri, considered the most auspicious day to visit the temple in Varanasi, the number of devotees never exceeds 2.5 lakhs.
