After the consecutive defeat of Mumbai Indians, owner Nita Ambani inspired the team in this way

Mumbai Indians have had a rough start in this year’s Indian Premier League campaign. The five-time IPL winner is currently at number nine in the points table with four losses in four matches so far. Mumbai will have to meet an uphill task to make a comeback in the tournament from this point on. However, they have come out of a similar situation last season and team owner Nita Ambani is confident that Mumbai will be able to do the same this season.

Motivating the MI players after their loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore on Saturday, Ambani sent a voice message to the players, showing his full support. In a video shared by Mumbai Indian on Twitter, players can be seen listening to Ambani’s message in the dressing room. “I have full faith and belief in you all, and I am sure we will overcome this. Now, we are only going to go further and upwards. We need to believe in ourselves that we will overcome this. We have gone through this many times before and then go ahead and win the cup,” Ambani said in his message.

Emphasizing on extending their support to the team in any condition, he asked the players to believe in their ability.

Mumbai had a similar situation in the 2015 season of the IPL, where they lost the first four games but made an impressive comeback and won the trophy for the second time.

Mumbai Indians have won the IPL for the most number of times including victories in the 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020 seasons.

MI will next face Punjab Kings on Wednesday, April 13.

Interestingly, Mumbai are not the only IPL champions who are struggling in the current season. Defending champions Chennai Super Kings have also faced a similar fate in the current season of the tournament. CSK have lost all the four matches in the tournament so far.
