New Delhi: Actress Swara Bhasker surprised her fans by announcing her marriage to political activist Fahad Ahmed. The couple registered their marriage on February 16, 2023 and even posed for photographs. Fahad is the state president of the Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha, the youth wing of the Samajwadi Party Maharashtra. The two celebrated their special day over lunch with family and close celeb friends.
However, amidst the loudest wedding bells, Swara’s old tweet addressing Fahadh as ‘Bhai’, ‘Mian’ and ‘Dost’ has resurfaced online and many are commenting on it. Swara posted on her birthday this year. Read it, “Happy Birthday Fahad Mian! Keep your confidence brother 🙂 @FahadZirarAhmad Be happy, settle down.. you are getting old, get married now! Have a happy birthday and a wonderful year friend!”

Reportedly, Swara, who opposed the Citizenship Amendment Act of 2019, was seen at several rallies and it was during one such protest rally that she met Fahad Ahmed, a student leader. In the video shared by Swara about their love story, she revealed how the two met and clicked their first selfie together. Fahad graduated from Aligarh Muslim University.

The couple submitted their documents to the court on January 6 this year and registered their marriage under the Special Marriage Act on February 16, 2023.
Swara and Fahadh will reportedly host a grand wedding ceremony in March.
