Singer Rahul Vaidya revealed in an Instagram Story that his wife Disha Parmer has also been diagnosed with dengue fever.
Singer Rahul Vaidya, known for his melodious voice and current appearance on Laughter Chefs, recently disclosed that he has been battling dengue fever, with his temperature reaching 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Sadly, his wife, Disha Parmer, has also contracted the same illness.
In a post on his Instagram Stories, Rahul expressed his frustration saying, “Wasn’t it enough for me to have dengue ki disha ko bhi ho gaya (Wasn’t it enough for me to have dengue that Disha has caught it too).” Disha shared Rahul’s post on her Instagram, along with a caption, writing, “Together forever.” Alongside this, she posted a selfie of herself looking unwell. She also shared a caption with the selfie, writing, “Welcome to the sick club!”

Earlier, Rahul Vaidya updated his fans about his health struggles via Instagram Stories. He shared a photo of himself with a cold compress on his forehead, battling a fever that spiked to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Shortly after, he posted another story simply stating “Dengue,” which caught his fans by surprise. This news of the couple’s illness comes during Ganesh Chaturthi, a festival of deep personal significance for them. Rahul usually observes the festival with a 5-day ritual at home, a beloved family tradition.
Last year was particularly special as he and his wife welcomed their first child, daughter Navya. Rahul had described this occasion as a divine blessing, expressing his joy in bringing Lakshmi ji, symbolically represented by his daughter, into their home.
Before falling ill, Rahul Vaidya had been eagerly looking forward to this year’s Ganesh Chaturthi, expressing his excitement on the sets of Laughter Chefs. He had planned to celebrate the festival with extra joy, as the recent arrival of his daughter had brought immense happiness and good fortune into his life.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Rahul Vaidya is currently appearing on the TV show Laughter Chefs, where he partners with Aly Goni in the unique cooking-comedy series. He has also recently released a new single titled Jisne Daru Nahi Pi. Rahul initially gained widespread recognition as a contestant on the first season of Indian Idol in 2004 and rose to fame further with his participation in Bigg Boss 14 in 2020.
On the other hand, Disha was last seen in the popular series Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3, where she starred alongside Nakuul Mehta in the role of Priya.
