After Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, Samsung reportedly halting Android 12 update for Galaxy S21 – Times of India

samsung Recently started rolling out Android 12 based One UI 4.0 The tech giant has stopped OS updates for its smartphones and according to a report by TizenHelp Samsung Galaxy S21 Series in South Korea. The announcement was reportedly made by Samsung community moderators. According to the report, the error is coming in some devices of the Galaxy S21 series. The error is reported to be due to compatibility issues with Google Play. The roll out is expected to resume once Google and Samsung resolve the issue.
The company’s foldable smartphones Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 also faced some problems when they started receiving the One UI 4.0 operating system update. As per the previous reports, the problems that users in South Korea faced after the update included the device getting bricked. Some users complained that their devices are going into recovery mode after installing the update. Some users also faced camera problems. As reported by users, images were being removed from the phone gallery automatically and there were some phones that provided poor quality audio recordings.
After fixing the problems, the company again started rolling out updates to the users. According to a recent report by SamMobile, the new Android 12 update for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 in South Korea comes with the latest stable One UI 4.0 update for firmware version F711NKSU2BUKL and Galaxy Z Fold 3 sports firmware version F926NKSU1BUL4. The report further suggests that if these new software builds are stable, the company may soon release them for more markets.
The company is currently preparing to launch the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy S22+ and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will reportedly run on One UI 4.0 out-of-the-box.
