Afghanistan crisis: Pakistan PM Imran Khan says Taliban ‘broke the shackles of slavery’

Afghanistan News: Afghanistan is occupied by the Taliban. There is an atmosphere of chaos in Kabul. Meanwhile, in a program today, without naming the Taliban, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said that it has broken the shackles of slavery.

Speaking at the launch of Single National Curriculum in Islamabad, Imran Khan said, “When you take education in English medium. English medium is very important for higher education. But unfortunately, it is that way. In which our system has progressed. We don’t learn English for higher education. We adopt whole culture. This is the biggest drawback. Because when you follow someone’s culture. You think other culture is above us. You become a slave to the culture”.

In a video shared by Dawn News on its social media platform, Imran Khan says, “When you become a mental slave, you must remember that mental slavery is worse than real slavery”. He said, “It is more difficult to break the shackles of mental slavery. The shackles of slavery which are broken in Afghanistan now. But the chains of mental slavery do not break.”

Imran will meet
A day after the Taliban seized power in Kabul and President Ashraf Ghani left the war-torn country, Pakistan’s Security Committee headed by Prime Minister Imran Khan will meet on Monday to discuss the evolving situation in Afghanistan.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said in a statement that Pakistan would present its stand on the current situation after discussions in the meeting of the National Security Committee. Senior political and military leaders including Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Foreign Minister Qureshi will attend the meeting.
