Advika Bharadwaj: Working with Shaan for ‘Tanha Dil’ was an overwhelming experience – Times of India

Model, singer, and actress Advika Bharadwaj is one of the many artists in the entertainment industry, who had just started working in showbiz when the industry came to a halt due to the first wave of Covid-19 pandemic. The young artiste, who has been consistently making music and has a decent social media presence, says, “Before Covid, things were nice. During and after the pandemic, finding work became very difficult. The auditions are not taking place as smoothly as it used to be, so it’s challenging to know if there’s a casting call or audition happening virtually. I am trying my best to get some leads with the bare minimum contacts I have.”

Advika, who started out on her own, also opened up on her recent projects. “I got a web series through Instagram. They saw my pictures on Instagram and then cast me for a South (Telugu language) web series. I had shot the first season, the second season will soon go on floors. The makers haven’t started with the promotions yet.”

She also added, “I had also shot a music album with Shaan, when he did the remake of ‘Tanha Dil’. That also I got through Instagram. I would say, things are much better through Instagram, or else giving auditions and all are very difficult today.”

Talking about her expectations from showbiz, Advika says that she just wants to keep doing her work passionately, and also keep updating her 2M followers on social media with fun and entertaining stuff. She is currently looking forward to treating them with her travel vlogs, which will soon be executed.

Before shooting for the South web series and working with Shaan, Advika has done many commercials — one of them was for a Japanese hair oil brand.

Recollecting some of the best experiences in the industry, Advika says, “Working with Shaan was an overwhelming experience. He is so polite and grounded, it didn’t feel like I was working with him for the first time.”
