The company said users will hear more about the collaboration in October this year during Adobe Max, the company’s annual creative conference, which takes place during the fall season.

Adobe on Thursday said it will buy Frame.io, a cloud-based video collaboration platform, in a deal worth $1.27 billion (about Rs 9,452 crore). Frame.io streamlines the video production process by enabling video editors and key project stakeholders to collaborate using a cloud-first workflow. adobe said frame.oi It has over a million users across media and entertainment companies, agencies and global brands. “The acquisition brings together the leading video capabilities of Adobe Creative Cloud with the cloud-first workflow functionality of Frame.io to create an end-to-end video collaboration platform,” the company said.

The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter. After the deal closes, Frame.io co-founder and chief executive Emery Wells and co-founder John Travor will join Adobe. Frame.io is an online video editing platform that was created in 2015 and lets video editors easily work in groups with comments, comments, and approval requests. According to reports, Adobe is expected to merge the capabilities of Frame.io into its own software such as Premiere Pro and After Effects in the future. The company argues that Frame.io has “reinvented the modern video workflow.”
