New Delhi: After running in theatres for a while, Aadivi Shesh-starrer ‘Major’ has now moved to OTT. The film, which revolves around Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who lost his life to terrorists during the 2008 Mumbai serial attacks, is all set to stream on Netflix from July 3.
Sharing the update, Adivi took to Instagram and wrote, “Extremely blessed. Millions have seen #Major in theatres, now #MajorTheFilm hits @NetflixIndia on July 3. You know the man. Now You will know his story.”
Helmed by Shashi Karan Tikka, ‘Major’ also stars Shobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Prakash Raj, Revathi and Murli Sharma.
Talking about the film, Adivi had said, ‘Major’ is not a film that can be taken as just a film, it is an emotion, it is the best work of my life. This is the life story of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan and we have received this medal from the National Security Guard as an appreciation of what we have created.
Bankrolled by Sony Pictures International Productions, GMB Entertainment Pvt Ltd and A+S Movies, ‘Major’ was released on June 3 in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam.
In the film, Adivasi plays the role of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who sacrificed his life while fighting terrorists and freeing 14 hostages at the Taj Mahal Hotel.
