Aditya Singh Rajput was found unconscious in his bathroom when he was taken to the hospital.
A day after television actor Aditya Singh Rajput passed away, the police are now doubting whether the Splitsvilla 9 fame was caused by ‘severe internal head injury’. As reported by The Indian Express, a police officer recently revealed that Singh had a minor head injury. However, the exact cause of his death will be known only after the postmortem report comes.
“During the panchnama a small injury was noticed on the rare left side of his head. There was no bleeding, but the swelling was clearly visible in that part of the head. We suspect that he has suffered a severe head injury, but the postmortem report is awaited to ascertain the exact cause of his death.
“We suspect that he slipped and fell. His head probably fell on the corner of the tiled portion. And the impact of the head on the tiles was so high that the tiles in that particular portion of the bathroom broke,” said the police officer.
For the unaware, Aditya Singh Rajput was found unconscious in his bathroom on Monday, May 22, when he was taken to the hospital. However, Aditya was declared dead on arrival. Some unverified reports have claimed that Aditya died due to an alleged drug overdose. His last rites were performed on Tuesday evening and it was attended by several of his industry colleagues including Rajiv Adatiya, Ashok Pandit, Harsh Rajput and Rohit K Verma.
Aditya hailed from Delhi and started his career as a model. He was a part of films like Krantiveer and Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Mara. However, she shot to fame after participating in the 9th season of MTV Splitsvilla. Apart from this, Aditya was also a part of TV projects like Love, Aashiqui, Code Red, Awaaz Season 9 and Bad Boy Season 4.
