Aditya Chopra turns down huge offer of Rs 400 crore from OTT platforms for digital release of films

A source close to YRF Studios told Bollywood Hungama that the veteran is keen to collaborate with Aditya and do a direct digital deal. The source added that Aditya has made it clear that all YRF films have to premiere on the big screen and hence he has turned down all the offers. The source also added that Amazon Prime Video offered a huge amount of Rs 400 crore to the producer to acquire the full slate of 4 films. However, the producer steadfastly turned down the offer without hesitation.

As Aditya was in no mood to sell big-ticket magnum ops like Prithviraj and Shamshera, some digital giants tried to catch up with smaller budget films like Bunty Aur Babli 2 and Jayeshbhai Jordaar, reveals the source.
