Aditi Rao Hydari recently got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Siddharth. She recently shared how he reacted after watching Heeramandi.
Aditi Rao Hydari is currently basking in the success of her recently released web series, Heeramandi. Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the series released on May 1 on Netflix and has been earning positive reviews from the film fraternity, fans, and critics. The actress recently opened up on how Siddharth reacted after watching the show.
In an interview with Galatta, Aditi shared, “His eyes were all red and swollen. Siddhu called me after he binged watched it and actually couldn’t speak. e just said, I wanna come and meet Sanjay, Sir. After that he did manage to say something, he said later , he was like now we have two freedom fighters in our family. Bhagat Singh and Bibbo Jaan.”
Siddharth had earlier taken to his Instagram story, and praised the ‘acting, music, aesthetic, and drama’ in ‘Heeramandi’. The note read, ‘Grateful that we are living in the age of Sanjay Leela Bhansali Saab. A letter of love and freedom told in the confines of a bygone age with images that mesmerize the heart, music, and verse that stir the soul—a work of art that would make K. Asif Saab proud. Aditi Rao Hydari recently got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Siddharth in Telangana. They surprised fans by confirming the news on Instagram, amid rumours of a secret marriage. The former recently opened up about her engagement and also shared why they decided to make their engagement public.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Aditi shared, “Jo bhi special hone wala hai, mujhe shuruat ek special jagah se karni thi. Woh meri family ka ek temple hai, which is 400 years old, I wanted to go there and do puja. There, I had a little engagement.” Whenever something special happens in her family, we visit our 400-year-old temple to seek blessings. So, for engagement, we also went there.
She also shared why she confirmed her relationship with Siddharth officially. Aditi then shared her engagement photo on her Instagram handle. “We shared this image on social media to clarify all the rumours that were doing the rounds at that time. My mother asked me to clarify things as she was getting back-to-back calls regarding the same.”
Aditi Rao Hydari and Telugu actor Siddharth first met on the set of the 2021 film Maha Samudram. Despite the movie not receiving much praise, it brought them together. Rumour mills were abuzz that they fell in love during filming.
