Adipurush: Mahabharat’s Gajendra Chauhan says changed dialogues won’t help, says ‘giri hui soch…’

Joining the bandwagon is former Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) chairman and actor Gajendra Chauhan, who played the iconic role of Yudhishthira in BR Chopra’s TV show Mahabharata. The actor said despite having bought tickets, he hasn’t seen the film as he doesn’t want to “compromise” with his beliefs.

Speaking to India Today, Gajendra Chauhan said, “I had booked tickets to watch this film, but for some reason my conscience refused to believe that I should go and watch it in a theatre. Actually, after watching everything, watching the trailer and short clips, I realized that this movie is not worth it. I don’t want to compromise on my beliefs. I want to see Lord Ram as Lord Shri Ram.”

“Yeh ladki hui soch ka naateeja hai (It is a product of low thinking). You write as you think. Lyricist Manoj Muntashir was given the task of writing the dialogues for the film. He copied things from various sources And messed it up. He is a very arrogant man. Rahi Masoom Raza Sahab has not achieved even an inch of what he wrote in Mahabharata.”

Changed dialogues of Adipurush

In the scene, the character of Hanuman had lines like: ‘Kapada tere baap ka toh jalegi bhi tere baap ki’. It is now changed to, ‘Kapda teri Lanka ka… toh jalegi bhi teri Lanka’. Another dialogue is “Tu andar kaise ghusa… tu jaanta bhi hai kaun hoon main” has been changed to “Tum andar kaise ghuse… tum jaante bhi ho kaun hoon main.”
